Rock’n the Mike is a general humorous bi-monthly talk radio format audio podcast which typically showcases famous & successful entrepreneurs, musicians, comedians & entertainers of all levels talking about their passions, political issues, technology news and interesting personal inside industry revelations. The show is hosted by musician, filmmaker & political junkie, Michael J. Carrasquillo (@mjcarrasquillo), co-hosted by Greg “Q” (@elq66) and is broadcast LIVE on Ustream on the first, third and (sometimes) fifth Monday of every month.

About The Host:

Michael J. Carrasquillo
Born: Bronx, New York on June 5, 1977. Michael is an American artist, filmmaker, musician, and former music industry marketing representative for TVT Records most notable for his stint as the live touring drummer for the KMFDM spin-off, Slick Idiot (from 2000 to 2005) and for his duties with acclaimed two-time Grammy nominated music video director, Jim Swaffield, during the R. Kelly cult classic, “Trapped in the Closet” era. Currently Michael is active as a social commentary & daddy blogger, working on various music & film/video endeavors and speaking at video podcasting, video/film post-production and social media events.

Greg “Q”
Contrary to published reports, Greg “Q” is not 85 years old.  In fact, he was born in 1966 in the Panama Canal Zone (yes, he can run for President) and grew up an Army brat; a chunk of that time in Germany during the Cold War – wiki that. He wanted to be an Air Force pilot but had to change that when he was diagnosed as near-sighted at age 10. He then went with Plan B – rock star. His pursuit of musical fame eventually led to a career as a certified Apple hardware and software technician.

A history junkie at an early age allowed him to soak up the World with a bit of an objective eye but he can still be one seriously opinionated blowhard. When he’s not being that, he enjoys art, film, TV, theatre, music, cooking, dining, conversation, making fun of women’s shoe choices, single-malt Scotch whisky, baseball, museums, dogs, history, traveling, being in the company of women (“They look nicer…”), and a lot of other stuff.
